LEARNING THE LETTERS
09/18/17
Aa is for Ally the alligator, Bb is for Bubba Bear, Cc is for Cachina Cat, etc.
All children are learning letters which are associated with specific animals, the sound the letter makes, and hand movements to go along with it. It makes learning letters alot of fun. Practice letter identification and letter sounds at home!
PHONICS
09/13/17
Secret Stories Program helps students learn phonics rules.
I tell the kids stories with respect to phonic rules. For example: vowels make 2 sounds. They make superhero sounds where they fly around and say their names. They also make sounds as if they're lazy. The lazy a eats an apple and says "aah". The lazy e is like an old lady needing to hear. She says, "eh?" etc.

ar = a--->R: The a gives its superhero power to the R so when you see "ar" you say "R!

aw, au = two kids (letter a, and letter w, or letter a and letter u) when they get together they get embarrassed and put their heads down and like to say "awwww"

er, ir, ur = when these two letters get together, they like to drive fast and screech their tires. They say "eeerrrrr!"
